Research in Motion gets a name change, now known as BlackBerry

So today is BB10 launch day and at the launch event RIM CEO Thorsten Heins took the stage to announce that the company will no longer be known as “RIM” going forward. The company will now be known as “BlackBerry”. BB10 is a complete revamp of BlackBerry’s mobile OS and the name change reflects that. BlackBerry’s new slogan is “One Brand. One Promise.

What better way to celebrate a new chapter than with a new company name?
