Microsoft announces its sold over 40 million Windows 8 licenses in the past month, outpacing Windows 7 upgrades

While many remain skeptical about Windows 8, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t any good news about the OS. Tami Reller  announced at the Credit Suisse 2012 Annual Technology Conference this past Tuesday that Windows 8 has sold over 40 million licenses in the past month. This eclipsed Windows 7 in terms of upgrades. This is pretty good news despite Windows 8 not meeting Microsoft’s internal projections.
