Leaked T-Mobile document instructs staff to “sell against the iPhone” come September; Next gen iPhone doesn’t look likely

Leaked T-Mobile document instructs staff to “sell against the iPhone” come September; Next gen iPhone doesn’t look likely

If the leaked document is anything to go by then those on T-Mobile will have another year go by without an iPhone. Currently T-Mobile is the only carrier that still doesn’t have the iPhone with Sprint getting the iPhone last year. Tmonews managed to get a hold of an internal memo that instructed carriers to “sell against the iPhone” from September 21st, which also happens to be the rumored date that the next gen iPhone goes on sale.

T-Mobile’s network uses AWS bands and thus iPhones cant run on its 3G network and instead have to surf on edge; 2G. T-Mobile os benefiting from its failed acquisition by AT&T meaning they will have much more AWS spectrum at their disposal to build out an LTE network come 2013. Looks like an iPhone will be on T-Mobile’s wish list next year.
