Skype for ‘Modern UI’ shown in screenshot [Update]

Since Skype is owned by Microsoft, it cant be surprising to think there will be a Win RT version of the popular video chat application. The folks at Neowin were sent a first look at what Skype will look, flushed in Modern UI stylings.

Now while the title image might just be a first look at the UI, you can see that it adheres quite nicely. Recent, Favorites, and People are laid out in finger friendly fashion. If you look at top, its states that this is an “app preview”. Meaning this app is probably in the state of being worked on and is no where close to being finished.

No word on when we can see this app released in preview or when it will be actually released, but I’m sure this app will be done by the time Windows 8 is released for general availability.
