Google to debut Google Play gift cards soon; $10 & $25 cards show up in pictures

Google continues to improve Google Play by adding new features and functionalities. An apk had leaked out with the next Google Play version  3.8.15. This version has options to redeem gift cards, which is something the Google Play store lacked compared to iTunes.

If that isn’t enough evidence, the folks at AndroidCentral managed to get shots of the actual gift cards, in both $10 and $25 varieties. They can be used towards music, movies, books, apps and “more”. I presume more alludes to being able to use it to purchase phones, tablets, and other hardware.

I have no doubt that Android fans have been waiting for something like this for a long time and it good to see that it will be rolling out sooner than later.
