Looks like AT&T wants to beat Verizon to the punch when it comes to shared data plans for families. AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega says he feels good about the future of the company’s shared family data plans. AT&T’s CEO was quoted as saying the following to CNET at CTIA 2012.
“I’m very comfortable with the plan that will be offered to our customers.” Ralph de la Vega
This is an opposing statement from one made back in January where De la Vega had run in to problems with IT and billing. Another problem was how AT&T would subsidize devices. the benefit of a shared data plan is that it would allow families that dont use a lot of data to share from a pool and actually save money each month. De la Vega wouldn’t offer further comments on how these plans would lay out and only said that it would be available in the coming months.
